Biller Genie supports two methods for adding technology fees to invoices in order to offset the cost of processing payments.  This article aims to give an overview of the differences in the experience during the checkout process, highlighting the benefits and unique aspects of each approach.

Surcharging

Biller Genie also supports surcharging for credit card transactions that is compliant in all states except for CT, MA, ME, and OK. Using this method, the invoice is presented as it was created and if a customer chooses to pay with a credit card, they will be prompted with a popup that clearly outlines the additional surcharge associated with the transaction.

Dual Pricing

With our Dual Pricing option, the invoice is presented showing both the card price and the ACH (or cash) price side-by-side.
