Billie MCP from Biller Genie connects Claude or ChatGPT to your Biller Genie account, so you can ask about your accounts receivable in plain English and get answers from your live data.
What you can ask
- "What's my total outstanding balance?"
- "Which customers owe me the most?"
- "What payments came in this week?"
- "Show me my A/R aging."
- "Pull up invoice 2231."
Open balances are up to the minute. Aging and overdue totals update overnight.
Safe by design
- Read only. Your assistant can read your invoices, customers, payments and reports. It can't create, change or send anything.
- No card or bank numbers. Payment details never reach your assistant.
- Your login, your permissions. You sign in with your Biller Genie email, password and second factor, and you see only what your user role allows.
Turn on Billie MCP
- Sign in to Biller Genie and open the Add-ons Marketplace.
- Find Billie MCP and click Install. If you don't see Billie MCP, contact Biller Genie Support.
- On the Billie MCP page, copy your server address.
Biller Genie is also listed in Anthropic's Claude directory.
Connect Claude
- In Claude, open Customize > Connectors.
- Click + Add > Add custom connector.
- Name it Billie, paste your server address and click Continue, then Add.
- Sign in with your Biller Genie email and password, enter your second factor, and click Allow.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector in Organization settings first. Then each person clicks Connect.
Connect ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Plugins and click + > Add custom MCP server.
- Name it Billie and paste your server address.
- Choose sign-in, accept the warning, and click Create as a plugin.
- Sign in with your Biller Genie email and password, enter your second factor, and click Allow.
Good to know
- One account per connection. If you work in more than one Biller Genie account, pick the one to connect when you click Allow.
- Disconnect anytime by removing the Billie connector in Claude or ChatGPT.
- Changing your Biller Genie password ends the connection. Sign in again to reconnect.
- If you see "You already answered this request," go back to Claude or ChatGPT. If Billie isn't connected, connect again from there.
- Check the answer. AI assistants can make mistakes. For anything important, confirm it in Biller Genie.
